It Ain't No Thang...It's a Hair Flip

The people at my job drive me INSANE sometimes. I sometimes sit there and plot my vengeance and get all steamy over it...grrrr. But then, I realize that tenuous situations are merely a test and I have to use it to my advantage, and let it go. Comme ci: the hairflip work for you??

Little Green Dress

This is one of my favorite articles of clothing. Shapeless, swingy, and with pockets to boot. I'm also wearing my favorite boots! Comfort, my friends. Comfort while working at my crappy job. Oh...the luxury of a non-recessive economy...if only I could QUIT.

One of the downsides to this dress is its habit of riding up underneath my coat...I mean, showing leg is long as you can control it. No one likes flashing people THAT much.

Bon weekend!

Outfit thrown together for a casual jaunt about town. Been sick as a dog with very little energy to do anything, let alone take photographs. (Adenovirus--A POX ON YOU!!!) So anyway, when I get better, should be back on track. Hopefully the larger photos help show a bit more detail. Now to find some better locations...

Jacket over Jacket over Jacket

Worn to Brunch with family. Which could be interpreted as a good (but very expensive) idea gone wrong. But, it worked out in the end and at least we had some great food!

These are my new snow boots, making their first blog début. These were mostly bought because I have one pair of lug-soled boots and they're not very warm. These are MUCH better, and provide for jean tuckage--not a word, but always a plus. Can't wait to destroy them on the salt/snow/ice. Pardon the crappy face--I was kind of pissed in these photos, sorry; recovering from the flu. I've been a cranky mess all weekend.

Blue Light

Part of my birthday 'week' celebration after the Cirque du Soleil show. I love that dress even though it's a bit odd. It's got this amazing fit.

And yes...there is a shaft of light between my legs.

Out of Commission

Been out of the loop for awhile; even sort of lost my taste for blogging in general. Guess it's that way with all things; something goes wrong in life and the rest of the cards come tumbling slowly down till you salvage them. In any event, I've been taking pictures and will post them. Thanks guys, for checking out the blog. It's nice to have the feedback...and feel wanted!
Please feel free to make comments and suggestions. My style can only get better with your help. With any luck. :-)

This outfit has quite a western feel to it, but mostly it was warm.

Chasing Cydwoqs

After falling in love with the brand Cydwoq months ago and searching all over the internet for a pair that I could actually afford, I threw up my hands and decided to save money instead for some Fiorentini's and/or a pair of Cydwoqs sometime later this year. So, browsing the lovely eBay, while on a 'sick' day, I got these online on SUPER clearance. It's good shoe karma, I think (something I learned from Agathe of StyleBytes); I've been selling shoes I don't wear often or not at all in my eBay store. And now...I'VE GOT THESE!!! While they are typically boring (and therefore, typically me), I thought they rocked. And you can tell they're going to last forever. I can't WAIT to get another pair.

They're BRAND new and GORGEOUS and I'm SO excited. Cydwoq (pronounced sidewalk) makes some of the coolest shoes I've seen in awhile. I was practically bouncing in my chair when I found that they were delivered. I actually bolted home just to try them on. So, in honor of my GLOOORIOUS shoes, I thought I'd share someone fantastic: I give you
