Aching for the good stuff

It's June. I swear it is. And yet, it's pouring outside. I had to wear a jacket to work AGAIN. And I don't want to spend ANY TIME OUTSIDE MY HOUSE on the street unless it's jumping in puddles. And even that's getting a little tired.

So, as my plea to Mother Nature, a little bit of sunshine. Ah...reminiscing.

My hair is taking on a life of its own....

mishmash

CHLOE looking gorgeous as usual.

club hopping with an adopted entourage last night:

Foggy empire state building

Breakfast

Today, going shopping (hopefully) cause apparently all of my clothes are too 'masculine' and 'casual' (read: rough and/or wack) to actually wear anywhere important. >:-(. Will keep you updated on what I find...I wonder if DSW will really take back those shoes I bought months ago...

Happy Saturday, one and all.

rough week

I've started really enjoying this blogging thing. It's forced me to step up my game, so to speak, as far as my attire goes. It's also encouraged me to be more confident in myself, both in front of and behind the camera. It's one of the few enjoyable things going on right now and thanks all for sticking about while I lag in posting. I've just realized that the people I work with are a pretty tough crowd, which is hard for me to admit because I always put 100% into everything I do. Even so, it seems there will consistently be some opposition to individual progress and I suppose my time has come to move on. Unfortunately, with unemployment the way it is, I'm vying for jobs and positions that people with 2x my qualifications and experience are struggling to get interviews for. Daunting, to say the least. I'm trying to stay positive, but being in a toxic work environment almost all day can take its toll on one's confidence and positivity. For all those out there in my position, I leave you with some words from a wise man:

And today's outfit:

dusk--manhattanhenge

I just learned that this sunset event is unique to New York City, when the sun lines up with the buildings along the avenues; apparently, it's because NYC is tilted 28.9 degrees away from north, so it's an ideal location and perfect for this type of shot. props to me and my amazing effing camera.
